Even though some slides and movies are personal and others are commercial, every picture represents a time in someone’s life, and something that person wanted to remember and share.
Art Made From Film

Camera, slide carrousel, translucent vinyl LP head. LED light inside a heart made of found plastic and red fabric. Electrical wire can be oriented up to the ceiling or down out of the bottom of the dress.

Never Helpless Ella
26” X 36” ties are 20”
Materials Used: fabric, slides stitched with crochet thread and buttons, slide carrousel head, camera face.
Installation: suspended from the ceiling.
Detail: The slides, sewn together with buttons, typically hold shared memories. I see similar images time and time again: holidays, babies, vacations, family gatherings. It appears that we all value the same things. This confirms, for me, our shared humanity.
